Way Off - the estimation party game.
Nobody knows how many hairs are on a human head. That is the point. In Way Off everyone guesses, the closest wins and the furthest is way off.
What is an estimation game?
An estimation game is a quiz where nobody can know the exact answer. Way Off is exactly that: every question has a number as the answer - how tall, how many, how far, how old - everyone guesses at the same time, and whoever gets closest wins the round. Whoever lands furthest from the truth is way off. A good gut feeling counts more than knowledge, which is why everyone can play: the eight-year-old, the expert and the one who has never watched a quiz show.
- 1
The host creates a lobby, picks from 9 categories and sets the number of rounds. Everyone joins with the 6-digit code on their own phone. It also works without a lobby: with Pass & Play you play on a single phone that goes around the table.
- 2
Every round shows a question out of more than 1,600: How tall is the Eiffel Tower? How many bones does the human body have?
- 3
Everyone types in their guess before the timer runs out. Nobody sees the other guesses.
- 4
The reveal shows every guess as a bar next to the truth. The closest guess scores the most points, the furthest is way off.
- 5
After the last round the podium is up, with high scores, streaks and accuracy stats.
